The best TikTok scheduling tools for founders and solo B2B owners are Buffer, Later, and Metricool. They schedule TikTok cleanly and don't overbuild for a one-person operation. If your buyers are actually on LinkedIn, not TikTok, that changes the shortlist: you need a tool that finishes the LinkedIn post your own AI already wrote, like SocialPost, more than a general video scheduler. Pick based on where your buyer actually looks you up, not on which platform is trendy.
Where do B2B buyers actually check you before they call?
Here's the thing worth sitting with before you pick any tool: 55% of B2B buyers use social media to research vendors, and for 44% of B2B professionals, LinkedIn is their top social channel. That means the page they check isn't your TikTok feed. It's your LinkedIn profile and company page.
So if you're a consultant, founder, or small professional services firm weighing where to spend your one free hour a week, TikTok scheduling is the wrong first problem to solve. LinkedIn content for founders is the thing that actually moves a buyer from "checking you out" to "booking the call." TikTok scheduling still matters if you sell to a younger or consumer-adjacent audience, or you run video as a side channel. The tools below cover both cases.
A shortlist of real tools, and who each one is actually for
These are named products you can go sign up for today. No single tool is perfect for everyone. That's the point of a shortlist, not a ranking.
- Buffer. Fit: a solo founder who wants dead-simple scheduling across TikTok, LinkedIn, Instagram and X without learning a new tool. Buffer fits a founder who already has posts written.
- Hootsuite. Fit: a small team that already manages five or more channels and needs one dashboard with approval workflows. Not for you if you're solo. Hootsuite fits a team with a marketing hire, not a founder doing this between client calls. Most people asking about the "best Hootsuite alternative for small business" are asking because Hootsuite is built for a bigger operation than theirs.
- Later. Fit: someone running mostly visual and video content: TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, with LinkedIn as a secondary channel. Strong TikTok scheduling and a visual content calendar. Not for you if LinkedIn is your primary buyer channel. Later fits a feed led by Instagram and TikTok.
- Metricool. Fit: someone who wants scheduling plus real analytics across every platform including TikTok, in one tool. Good if you're comparing several channels and want the numbers to decide where to focus. Metricool fits a founder who wants scheduling and analytics in one place.
- Taplio. Fit: a LinkedIn creator who wants AI drafts, post ideas, and analytics built around LinkedIn. Not for you if LinkedIn is not your main channel. Taplio is built around LinkedIn.
Separate from that shortlist, SocialPost does a different job. SocialPost suits a founder or consultant whose own AI, such as ChatGPT or Claude, already writes the caption. SocialPost renders brand-correct graphics, formats the post for each platform, holds it for approval and schedules it. SocialPost is built for the person who has no marketing hire and no spare hour. If your main channel genuinely is TikTok, pick a tool from the shortlist instead, because SocialPost is built around LinkedIn content for founders, not short-form video.
How much does a social media agency actually cost, and is a tool cheaper?
This is the comparison most founders skip, and it's the one that decides whether you even need this shortlist. A basic social media management program costs $500 to $5,000 a month, and a comprehensive program runs roughly $5,000 a month, according to Sprout Social's 2026 cost guide. A scheduling tool for a solo operator costs a small fraction of that. That gap is the whole argument for a social media agency alternative: you're not paying for a writer, a designer, and an account manager's time. Your own AI writes the caption, the software formats and schedules the post, and you do the fifteen-minute approval pass yourself.
The volume argument matters too. Buffer's own analysis of over 2 million LinkedIn posts found that posting 2 to 5 times a week gets roughly 1,182 more impressions per post than posting once. The same research is clear: consistency beats intensity. A steady 2 to 5 posts a week outperforms a burst that fizzles out in a month. Accounts posting 11+ times a week saw nearly 17,000 more impressions per post and three times the engagement. That's the real reason "how to post consistently on LinkedIn without a marketing team" is a search people type at 11 pm: consistency is a scheduling and drafting problem, not a talent problem.
How to choose: a decision rule, not a summary
Skip the feature comparison chart. Ask yourself one question first: where do your buyers actually check you out: LinkedIn, TikTok, or both? Then apply this rule:
If LinkedIn is where your buyer looks first, and you have no time to write, pick a tool that takes the caption your own AI wrote and finishes the post, such as SocialPost, before you touch a general scheduler.
If you post video content across TikTok and Instagram as well as LinkedIn, pick a multi-platform tool (Buffer, Later or Metricool) and expect to bring them finished captions and graphics.
If you're already paying an agency more than $1,000 a month for output you could approve yourself in fifteen minutes a week, that's your signal to test a tool before renewing.
Most founders comparing these tools are really asking one thing: will this finish the post, or does it just replace the calendar? SocialPost takes the caption your own AI already wrote, renders brand-correct visuals, formats the post for each platform, holds it for your approval, and schedules it.
If you already write with ChatGPT or Claude, keep using them. Connecting an AI model to social media through MCP (a way to hook an AI assistant directly into other tools) is now possible. With SocialPost, your AI writes the caption, and SocialPost handles the graphics, the approval, and the scheduling. Our guide on writing better AI prompts with the CREATE method is useful either way, whether you're prompting a general model or refining drafts inside a scheduling tool.
Timing matters less than people think once you're posting consistently, but if you want the specifics, our guide to best posting times across platforms covers LinkedIn, TikTok and the rest in one place.

FAQ
What is the best AI tool for small business social media in 2026?
It depends on which platform your buyers actually check. For LinkedIn-first B2B firms, a tool like SocialPost, which takes the caption your own AI wrote and finishes the post, does more of the work than a general scheduler. For multi-platform posting including TikTok, Buffer or Metricool cover more ground.
Is there a good Hootsuite alternative for a solo founder?
Yes. Hootsuite is built for teams managing several channels with approval workflows. A solo founder usually gets more value from Buffer for straightforward scheduling, or from SocialPost if LinkedIn is the main channel and your own AI already writes the captions.
Can I connect ChatGPT or Claude directly to my social media accounts?
Some scheduling tools now support MCP, a standard that lets an AI assistant connect directly into another piece of software, which is how "connect ChatGPT to social media" or "connect Claude to social media" becomes possible without custom code. With SocialPost, your AI writes the caption, and SocialPost renders the visuals, formats the post, holds it for your approval and schedules it.
How much does a social media agency cost for a small business?
A basic social media management program costs $500 to $5,000 a month, and a comprehensive program runs roughly $5,000 a month, according to Sprout Social's 2026 cost guide. A scheduling tool, with your own AI writing the captions, is a lower-cost alternative for founders who can spend fifteen minutes a week approving posts themselves.
How often should I post on LinkedIn to see real results?
Buffer's analysis of over 2 million LinkedIn posts found 2 to 5 posts a week is the sweet spot for most accounts. Consistency over months beats a short burst of daily posting. A scheduling tool is what makes that consistency possible without it eating your billable time.
Do any of these tools handle both TikTok and LinkedIn scheduling?
Buffer, Later and Metricool all schedule to TikTok and LinkedIn from one dashboard. Taplio is built around LinkedIn. SocialPost formats each post for each platform it publishes to, with LinkedIn as its main focus.
