Connecting other AI platforms to SocialPost
Connect Claude desktop or ChatGPT to your SocialPost workspace, then draft, schedule, and publish posts from your assistant.
Connect your AI assistant to SocialPost once, and it can read your Brands, draft on-brand posts, and prepare them for publishing. It confirms each action with you first, and nothing publishes without your approval.
SocialPost works with Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Grok, and Cursor. It uses a standard secure sign-in (OAuth), so you never paste an API key.
Before you start: You need a SocialPost account with at least one connected social account, and an AI app that supports custom connectors (MCP).
Find your connector URL
The connector URL is the same for every assistant: https://app.socialpost.ai/api/mcp.
- Open Settings from the bottom-left corner of SocialPost.
- Open the AI connections tab.
- Copy the MCP URL at the top of the page, then pick your app below for the exact steps.
Claude (Claude.ai and Claude Desktop)
- In Claude.ai, open Customize, then Connectors. Claude Desktop shares the same connectors, managed on claude.ai.
- Click the + next to Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Paste your connector URL and select Add.
- Sign in to SocialPost in the window that opens, then click Authorize.
On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, a workspace Owner adds the connector under Organization settings, then Connectors, before members can connect.
Claude Code
Paste this into Claude Code and it sets itself up:
Add the SocialPost MCP server: run claude mcp add --transport http socialpost https://app.socialpost.ai/api/mcp, then claude mcp login socialpost, and give me the sign-in link it prints.
Open the sign-in link, click Authorize, then return to the terminal. On a managed setup, your admin may need to allow this URL first.
ChatGPT
- In ChatGPT Settings, open Security and login and turn on Developer mode.
- Open Plugins, select +, then choose Connect to a custom MCP.
- Set Name to SocialPost, select Streamable HTTP, and paste your connector URL. Leave Bearer token and Headers empty.
- Sign in to SocialPost in the window that opens, then click Authorize.
On ChatGPT Business, Enterprise, or Edu, an admin may need to allow custom connectors in the workspace settings.
Codex
Paste this into Codex and it sets itself up:
Add the SocialPost MCP server: run codex mcp add socialpost --url https://app.socialpost.ai/api/mcp, then codex mcp login socialpost, and give me the sign-in link it prints.
Open the sign-in link and click Authorize. Codex signs in with your ChatGPT account, so on Business, Enterprise, or Edu an admin may need to allow custom connectors first.
Grok
- In Grok on the web, go to grok.com/connectors.
- Click New Connector and select Custom.
- Enter your connector URL.
- Sign in to SocialPost in the window that opens, then click Authorize.
On Grok Business or Enterprise, a team admin adds the connector first at console.x.ai, under Grok Business, then Connectors.
Cursor
- Open the Customize page in Cursor's sidebar, or edit mcp.json.
- Add an MCP server with your connector URL as a Streamable HTTP server.
- Sign in to SocialPost in the window that opens, then click Authorize.
On Cursor Enterprise, an admin may need to allow this URL under Team settings, MCP Configuration.
Try it
Start a new chat and ask for a LinkedIn post on a topic. Your assistant asks about the angle and timing, shows you the draft and a link to review it, and schedules only when you say yes.
