Why do I need to reconnect an account?

Social networks expire the access you gave SocialPost from time to time. When that happens, nothing goes out to that account until you reconnect it.

How you'll know: The account shows Needs reconnection in Connect Socials, and scheduled posts to it show a Reconnect option.

  1. Open Connect Socials.
  2. Find the account marked Needs reconnection, then choose Reconnect.
  3. Sign in on the network and approve access again.

Your scheduled posts stay in place, and they're picked up again once the account is reconnected. [Confirm with Geoff: do posts due during the lapse fail, or wait for reconnection?] Posts that were due while access had lapsed show as Failed, and you can retry them.

Why it happens: Networks expire access on their own schedules, and also when you change your password or remove SocialPost from your account settings on that network.
