Understanding Your LinkedIn Analytics on SocialPost

Understanding Your LinkedIn Analytics on SocialPost

The LinkedIn Analytics dashboard in SocialPost gives you a clear, detailed overview of how your content is performing on LinkedIn. Here's what each section means and how to use the insights to improve your content strategy.

Overview Metrics

At the top of the dashboard, you'll see key performance stats for your selected time range (e.g., Last Month):

  • Total Posts: The number of LinkedIn posts published using SocialPost.
  • Impressions: The number of times your content appeared in users’ feeds.
  • Outreach: The total number of unique users reached.
  • Content: Number of content pieces published during the selected timeframe.
  • Followers: Number of new followers gained.
  • Likes: Total likes received on your posts.
  • Clicks: Number of times users clicked on your post or links.
  • Comments: Number of comments across your posts.

Percent change indicators beside each metric show growth or decline compared to the previous period.

Audience Engagement Graph

This graph shows when your audience engaged with your content the most. It helps you identify peak engagement times and understand which days had the highest activity.

Follower Growth

This section tracks the change in your follower count over time. It’s useful for understanding the effectiveness of your content in attracting new followers.

Impressions Graph

This graph displays how often your posts were seen. Sharp increases often indicate a successful post or well-timed content. Use this data to understand what draws more attention.

Post Performance Table

At the bottom of the dashboard, you'll find a list of all posts published to LinkedIn within the selected period. For each post, you'll see:

  • Date and Time Published
  • Post Preview
  • Likes, Comments, and Watchtime (for videos)

This view helps you assess individual post performance, so you can identify what worked and what didn’t.

How to Use This Data

  • Identify high-performing posts and repeat similar formats or topics
  • Optimize your posting schedule based on engagement peaks
  • Test different content types and track their outcomes
  • Adjust your hashtag or caption strategy using impressions and clicks

If your metrics are mostly zero, it could be because your content is still new, or it may be a good time to experiment with different post styles and publishing times. Keep testing—consistency and iteration are key.

If you have any questions or need help analyzing your data, feel free to contact the SocialPost support team.

Quick Tips for LinkedIn Growth

1. Prime Time to Post

  • Best days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
  • Best times: 7:30–9:00 AM and 5–6 PM (commute scroll time)
  • Avoid weekends—LinkedIn's audience is mostly in work-mode.
2. Content That Wins
  • Posts with a personal story + lesson combo do great.
  • Use white space: 2–3 line chunks make posts scannable.
  • Native PDFs (carousel-style) = 💥 engagement.
3. Growth Hacks
  • Tag relevant people only if it adds value.
  • Use 3–5 hashtags max, including niche ones (e.g., #fintechmarketing, not just #marketing)
  • Thought-leadership > product promotion. Educate, don’t just sell.
4. Bonus Play
  • Leave comments on high-performing posts in your niche—that visibility brings profile views.
  • Use polls sparingly but smartly—they get boosted but can feel spammy if overused.
