Understanding Your Instagram Analytics in SocialPost

Understanding Your Instagram Analytics in SocialPost

The Instagram tab in your SocialPost dashboard gives you a bird’s-eye view of how your profile and posts are performing. Here’s what each section and metric means:

Key Metrics Summary

  • Total Posts: Number of Instagram posts published during the selected time period.
  • Impressions: Total times your posts were displayed on users’ screens.
  • Outreach: Unique accounts reached by your posts.
  • Content: Number of posts created using SocialPost.
  • Followers: Followers gained (or lost) during the time frame.
  • Likes: Total likes across your posts.
  • Shares: Number of times users shared your content.
  • Comments: Total comments received on your posts.

If metrics show zero, make sure you've posted during the selected time period and your account is properly connected.

Graphs & Insights

  • Audience Engagement: Tracks user interaction with your posts—helpful for seeing what type of content resonates.
  • Follower Growth: Charts your follower count over time. Look for upward trends after engaging content drops.
  • Impressions: Helps you identify the days your content was most visible and analyze what drove those views.

Quick Tips for Instagram Growth

1. Best Times to Post

  • Monday to Friday: 11 AM to 1 PM is generally a safe bet.
  • Avoid posting late nights or Sunday afternoons unless you're targeting specific time zones.
2. Engagement Boosters
  • Use 5–11 relevant hashtags per post.
  • Reel it in: Reels have 2x higher engagement than static posts.
  • Stories with polls or sliders = easy wins.
3. Content Strategy
  • Mix it up: alternate between posts, Reels, and Stories.
  • Use carousels for storytelling—they tend to get more saves and shares.
  • Include a call to action (e.g., “Save this!” or “What do you think?”) in your captions.
