Understanding Tagging on SocialPost.ai

Tagging people or pages in your social posts can increase visibility, engagement, and reach. Here’s how tagging works across different platforms when you schedule content through SocialPost.ai.

🔵 Tagging on X (Twitter), Instagram, and Threads 

Tagging on these platforms is straightforward: 

How to Tag 

Just type @username anywhere in your caption. 
Example: 
Huge thanks to @abc for the collab! 

What Happens When You Post 

When the post is published via SocialPost.ai, the platform will automatically detect the handle and correctly tag the user on X, Instagram, or Threads. 

➡️ Important: 

• Make sure you use the correct handle exactly as it appears on the platform. 
• The “@” symbol is required—otherwise, the tag will not work. 

🔵 Tagging on LinkedIn 

Tagging on LinkedIn works differently due to platform restrictions. 

Who You Can Tag 

• LinkedIn Pages 

• LinkedIn users who follow the Page you are posting from 

How to Tag 

Start typing @ followed by the person’s or Page’s name. 
Example: 
Shoutout to @a... → This will show a dropdown where you can select ABC if they follow the Page you are posting as. 

Key Notes 

• You can’t tag random users—they must be followers of the Page you’re posting on. 
• LinkedIn does not currently support tagging personal profiles using handles (like @abc). Tagging works by name only. 

🔵 Tagging on Facebook & YouTube 

At this time, tagging is not supported for: 

• Facebook 

• YouTube
