How to Schedule a Post on LinkedIn 

Scheduling posts in advance allows you to maintain a consistent online presence without the need to manually publish content each day. This guide walks you through each step to help you easily schedule your posts on SocialPost. 

Before You Begin 

Before you start the scheduling process, make sure you have the image(s) or media files ready and saved in a folder on your computer. This will streamline the upload process and prevent any interruptions while creating your post. 

 

Step-by-Step Guide to Scheduling a Post 

Step 1: Open the Scheduler 

From the left-hand navigation menu in your SocialPost dashboard, click on the Scheduler option. This will open the calendar view where you can manage and view all your upcoming scheduled content. 

Step 2: Select Your LinkedIn Profile 

Ensure that your LinkedIn account is selected from the available profiles. If you manage multiple social media accounts, it’s important to double-check that the correct profile is active before proceeding. 

Step 3: Enter Your Post Content 

Copy the text content you want to publish and paste it into the post editor provided in the scheduler. This is where you can format your message, add hashtags, mentions, and links as needed. 

Step 4: Upload Media 

Click on the Upload Media button to attach an image or video to your post. This is optional, but highly recommended as visual content tends to increase engagement. 

Step 5: Select the Image from Your Computer 

Navigate to the folder where you previously saved your image or media file. Select the file you want to upload, and it will be attached to your post. 

Step 6: Click on Schedule 

Once your content and media are ready, click the Schedule button to begin setting the publishing time. 

Step 7: Choose the Date, Time, and Time Zone 

A scheduling window will appear. Select the date and time when you want your post to go live. Don’t forget to set the correct time zone to ensure accurate publishing. 

Step 8: Confirm by Clicking Done 

After setting the date, time, and time zone, click on Done to confirm your schedule. 

Step 9: View Your Scheduled Post 

Once you've completed the scheduling process, your post will appear on the calendar view within the Scheduler. This allows you to easily track your upcoming posts and make adjustments if needed. 

 

Additional Tips 

  • Plan ahead: Use the calendar view to schedule a full week or month of content in one session. 
  • Double-check your time zone settings, especially if you're managing accounts for different regions. 
  • Preview your content before scheduling to ensure formatting and media appear correctly.
